Ski mountaineering in Lofer

Saalachtal is one of the most beautiful ski touring areas in the Salzburg region, and ski tourers know that the reward for the often laborious climbs are the fantastic deep snow runs.

Starting from Lofer, partly difficult ski tour routes lead to the spectacular peaks of the Loferer and Reither Steinberge mountains. Less experienced ski tourers and beginners can choose routes that run parallel to the pistes or join a guided ski tour with a certified mountain guide. There is also a signposted ski tour route in the idyllic Heutal, where it is possible to descend on the piste.
